New Source of Information On Its Way

The ISHRS has recently formed the FUE Research Committee. This has been done, recognizing the benefits of collaborative research. We expect this effort to accelerate advancements in technology related to the art of FUE hair transplantation.
A Web page within the ISHRS Website dedicated to updates and news has been suggested by the participating doctors.

For those with hair loss doing research into hair transplant options and advancements, this will be another great information resource.

You're kidding right? It's just going to be a bunch of whitewashed BS. Why would you even post this on a serous hair loss forum like this one?

Many of the top hair transplant doctors in the world took time out of their busy schedules to attend the recent ISHRS meeting in the Bahamas. If they just went there for a vacation, I'm sure the conference rooms would have been vacant. Quite the contrary. The forums, such as this one are a great place for hair transplant patients to post their results from various doctors and express their opinions. Unfortunately, hair transplant technology and treatment information often gets hyped, rumored and distorted in forums. What better way to hear about advances in technology than from the doctors themselves. Hearing several top doctors agree on a new treatment or technology and present their findings is definitely something most men and women with hair loss would prefer in my opinion.

Sadly,in some cases it's the doctor's themselves who hype and distort the virtues of their own types of FUE treatments on these forums.

Forums, this one in particular is where it all happens. It's because of this forum and others that FUE is being taken seriously by so many more doctors now. It's the forums that dictate which technique we want, and it's the forums that give the doctors performing these techniques the credibility, not the other way around. Ultimately, the smart people recognize both the nuts and the salesmen on these forums.

Results posted in the forums certainly play a very important part in demonstrating which doctors are delivering the goods. "Smart" people as you put it, wouldn't let the wisest of forum posters put a transplant tool to their head though. It's appropriate to hear from both patients and doctors. To broad brush all doctors as self-promoting salesman is a tad cynical don't you think? I have the list of doctors who have come together forming the FUE Research Committee. These are doctors with great reputations patients have grown to trust over the years. Most "smart" people want to hear from all sides.
