Lightbulb 5% minox too weak. Just add more?

I've seen a few threads about guys making their own minoxidil formulas (after all, the ingredients are readily available online) to increase concentration. But how about this, get a Pre made bottle of Minox solution (with azelaic acid or whatever) and just add more minoxidil powder to it.

Does anybody know if this would work? I know minox is soluble in ethanol but I don't know wether it needs to be heated or anything to make it combine with the other ingredients.

I have heard that topical retin-A allows better absorption of Minoxidil here and there though statistical analysis that it does indeed do that is absent. The retin-A does open up capillaries and puff up the space between wrinkles under the eye in cosmetic products allowing for a more youthful appearance. It would be logical to suggest that the retin-A open the circulation in the scalp allowing for the absorption to take place.

Failing that there are topical solutions like apple cider vinegar or witch hazel that when applied to cotton or a simple rubbing alcohol that extract dirt and oil and blockage and greasy sebum from the skin breaking it up allowing for an increased minoxidil penetration sort of a prep before the minoxidil is applied and then maybe applying a warm washcloth on the scalp to open the pores afterwards. And then applying the minoxidil followed by a scalp massage working it in.

A few very important things you need to know.

    1) When you increase the dose of any medication, you also increase the chances of experiencing the possible side effects of that medication.

    2) The efficacy of the added ingredients of some blends of Minoxidil are questionable at best.

    3) If you really want a custom blend of Minoxidil that includes those other ingredients, it is best to work with your doctor to have a compounding pharmacy make it for you.

    4) It is a lot easier to simply use a little more of the standard 5% Minoxidil for your evening dose.

Using more 5% doesn't equate to getting the effects of 15%.

As for sides, I have been using 15% already so I know it's fine. I just want to get my 5% up to that standard.

If other people can make unapproved solutions, let alone illicit drugs, surely I can make some 15% minoxidil.

Minoxidle Sulphate is the way to go! Combine with Adenosine for synergistic effect and you in business brah!
