    Default 27 Not sure(Pics)

hi my name is Guy Groomes. Curious to find out a prognosis on my hair loss. My gut tells me its telogen effluvium to an extent. I was suicidal at one point probably 3 months ago and I wasnt able to afford food and the basics. Ended up moving back in with my parents. What happened is a while back i was hit by some extremely stressful periods in life and then it eased up for a little while and restarted. And i know when they Diagnose any effluvium its usually after the trigger is removed. Well its only removed for a week or two so far. Some of my hairloss looks like mpb but especially in the middle the pattern is super patchy and weird. Thanks again guys.

    Nobody has comments?
I was on rogaine for almost a year. Generic liquid didnt see a whole lot of results from it. And it was nasty to put in clean hair. I also used nizoral but from what i read you should leave it in for awhile for the full effect and i didnt do that. I just washed it out pretty quickly.
Im think what i will do is take propecia while using rogaine foam. Im 27 so i might get some good results. My family history of hairloss isnt too bad. My dads dad was bald, he always did the come over thing grey haired. My dads got a full head of hair but its diffuse and thin looking. Its a full head just in sunlight you can see scalp. I think the only other person with any sort of hairloss was my moms brother, hes completely bald right down the middle. And my mom when shes stressed gets telogen effluvium and her scalp will show. Id like to guess and say that my hair is starting to grow back slowly since i moved back in with my parents but i cant be 100% sure. My sisters told me that though

Im looking to find out where i will get the most bang for my buck results wise. I'd like to atleast fill out my crown and maybe gain some hairline back. And also interested in other peoples oppinions on what they think this is

    Guy,

Please see a doctor so you can sort out a plan to gain control of the condition and please try to always think positive, I know this is very stressful for many people, especially younger men, but nothing is worth being suicidal over.

There are procedures and various medical products which can only help you, not seeing a doctor will only postpone help, or finding that exact procedure to put an end to the loss.

I wish you the best my friend...!

if you have around 100+ hairs shedding (in your hands) everytime you shower and overall hair shedding like crazy then it is probably telogen effluvium.

T.E starts precisely 3 months after a triggering even and then hair sheds rapidly for around 6 weeks, then slowly recovers. You will not see regrowth until 6 months after the trigger incident.

If you are not shedding tons of hairs with white bulbs on the end, then it is just regular MPB.

Almost every single hair i have shed for the last 2 years had a white bulb. Not just a little white bulb a very thick white bulb. Every so often there is a short hair with none prolly 5 percent or less But i have went through the most extreme stress of my life in that time as well. Without any pause at the most like 1-2 weeks

Looks like totally normal MPB. But you're probably right about stress causing a lot of extra hair loss, so that the pattern becomes very noticeable when it wasn't before.

It's sort of an early warning
The bits that shed suddenly are able to improve slowly, unless they're still being aggravated to fall in the same way.
