Hey all,
I'm 16 weeks post-procedure, seeing a nice amount of growth. I got on Propecia about a month ago along with Nizoral, and I've finally gotten it through my head that I need to just suck it up and add minoxidil to the mix. I've been avoiding it because I'm a little anxious about the shed, but obviously it's silly to let that deter me. Luckily, I'm a NW 2 (just saw Dr. Gabel--not my surgeon--and he said I'm a NW 1-2), so my hair is still pretty thick, although the procedure has definitely touched off some heightened shedding that hasn't subsided (and that worries me a lot).
Question is, just to manage my expectations: how cosmetically significant is the Rogaine shed, typically? Enough to be noticed? I know this varies from person to person, of course, but is this going to radically change my appearance, or be only a slight drop in density for awhile?
Thanks for your input.
