I'm planning on using s-equol as soon as it comes out. I am highly confident that it is safe up to any level I could reasonably afford to pay on a monthly basis. And there's no doubt it binds DHT......its just a question of whether you can bind enough to make a difference. Based on some detailed information in a patent, I believe I would need at least 50-60 mg per day (calculated by bodyweight). Nature Made has asked trial participants about a range of what they would pay....between $30 for 10mg per month up t $70 for 10 mg per month. So at the lowest it would be $150. This would be all about maintenance but I can't believe if it works, you wouldn't get at least a 5 -15% bounce back. Because of the health benefits, I will probably take 10-30 mg even if it doesn't help my hair.
