i don't know much about hairlines, but the likes of Sneijder has had some slight hair line work and it looks perfect. They will determine the angle of the hairs. That is the easy part. They will also draw a hairline first and ask you if your happy with it. You also have access to a mirror, so as they're doing it ask them if you can have a look and if you feel its not quite right then tell them. I honestly think you'll be fine, like you said, it's not rocket science, they do this every single day.
