Im on my tenth month on propecia and I can still run my hand thru my head and lose about a few pieces of hair. Your going to have a shedding phase when you take this medication due to the fact that propecia is pushing your "old" weak hair into the telogen phase (shedding phase) and replacing it with "stronger" hair in the anagen phase (active growing phase). Results can take awhile man.
So if I were you, stay on the medication if you want to still maintain the hair that you have into thicker hair. Im still on it because I wanna keep every last bit of my hair.
I just started Nuhair with the hair regrowth and DHT blocker pills. Im testing it out for 3-4 months to see if I see any improvements.
I do shed alot, and I do count the hair that I lose everyday when I shower. I lose about ~50 or more hair a day when I shower. I become very sad when I see that much hair. But I think of it as, old weak hair coming out, new improve hair coming in
