    5 months post-op

Slow but steady growth in the donor area this month, leading to a continued improvement since last month. However, I am getting a bit concerned about the still-fairly-thin density around the entire hairline, and especially on the left side, which (you may be able to see in the pics) is still noticeably sparse and "see-through". (Note-the pics were taken in a mirror, so what appears to be the "thinness" on the "right" side in the below pictures, is actually on the left.) I checked with the results of my twin brother--Gemini 2--and he is having the same issue, only more on the right side of his hairline. This helped to reassure us that it is likely only a phase of the overall growth, and hopefully the density will thicken considerably over the next few months to strengthen the hairline (while the top continues to thicken too!).

Problem scar on the left back of my head hasn't reduced much this month, to my dismay. A discernable "ridge" is still quite noticeable to the touch, which continues to concern me. I am going on blind faith that it will continue to heal and eventually disappear.

I also wished to note this month (since I haven't yet in this blog) the significant improvement in the overall body and quality of my hair, since I began the Proscar finasteride in September. I can see and feel a noticeable difference in the overall body and health of my hair since my daily regimen of taking of Proscar began, immediately after my surgery. I am very grateful for this added tool in the fight to get the fullest and healthiest head of hair possible!
