    2 Months Post-Op: 11/16/09

    Hi Gents (and Ladies, too...),

Well, we've reached the dreaded 2-month mark, where everything seems bleakest really--it ISN'T, but it seems that way...

It's that time in the process we are all warned about--where you're looking in the mirror every day and basically things are growing at about the speed of grass-growing in the winter... It seems like virtually nothing is happening, and like it'll be this way forever--I KNOW this is not the case, and they definitely told us about this stage, but once you are in the thick of it, it really is kind of lousy...

I've been practically LIVING with my baseball cap on, and I stay in much more than I'd like to... I'm in rehearsals for a show right now, but instead of playing the young leading man as I'm used to, I'm playing the saucy aging butler--a role I wouldn't normally even be up for for another 10-15 years...It's a little depressing, but I guess it beats not working at all!

The news is not all bad, though, not at all! The redness/pinkness continues to subside--slowly but surely, and the tufts/wisps of my original hair in the front have begun to grow back. Also the much of the residual pain, discomfort and scalp-tightness continues to lessen every day, and the donor scar gets less and less visible. Sleeping has not only returned to normal, but actually gotten BETTER for some reason!

I definitely think everything is very much on-track, and I just simply have to keep reminding myself that as slow as it looks on the surface, that all of the work is really going on literally just UNDER the surface... Thankfully Gemini1 and I have each other to consistently remind us of that, and check in with!

    We'll KEEP keeping you posted...

    More to come...!

P.S. Also took a few more pics than usual this time...Enjoy
Working...
