Does anyone in your family (father, grandfather, uncles) have any balding or hairloss? What about going to hair restoration specialist that can do a video microscopy of your scalp. With that instrument they can see up close if any hair is minaturizing, i.e. getting thinner in diameter than the rest of the hairs.

Nobody is bald in my family on my father or mothers side, but my dad lost his hair in his 40s. When I say lost, I don't mean all of it, it just thinned out a little.

I started thinning out at 16.

I know I'm 16, I just don't know whether its hormones and oily fine hair, or early male pattern baldness.

your hair looks nice and thick, don't worry about it. You're just a child! You can worry about hair loss once you turn 20
