    Default Are my temples receding?

I'm 28 and I'm having trouble figuring out if I'm experiencing receding in my temples or if this is my natural hairline. Pic.

The space above my sideburns and scalp has always been there, at least in photos dating back to 2012/13 (as far back as I could find), but it's slightly more pronounced now (or maybe it's because this is the first time I've had my hair that short in awhile). I've looked up photos of MPB and the thinning of the crown is way more pronounced in those photos. I don't think anyone in my family is balding. I have some uncles on my mom's side with thinning hair, but they're in their 60's and it started when they were old (in their 40's at least).

What brought this on was that I've noticed I've been shedding a lot more hair than usual. It's not coming out in clumps or anything, and if I run my hand through my hair, the distribution seems to be fairly uniform in terms of where the hairs shed from, but I'm not sure if this is just stress (I've been extremely stressed with work, the pandemic, and also having to move apartments in the middle of it) or something more.
