Default Shock Loss or Over Harvesting?

    Hey all,

I had my hair transplant 2.5 month's ago. I'm quite worried that my doner area has been over harvested. I feel nautious at the thought of my hair staying like this at the sides. Has anyone had any similar experiences?

    Thanks

Hm yeah that doesn't look optimal, but without a 'before' photo we don't know the difference.
Have you sent this image to your doctor to ask him his thoughts on it?

This is the only picture I could find pre op, I had to screenshot it from the website. As you can see I had really thick doner hair.

I spoke to the doctor about it and the only advice he gave me was to take oral and topical medications.

It looks concerning but it has only been 2.5 months. Give it like 7 months. After that, it can be either shockloss or overharvesting. Right now the area is probably still healing. Best of luck!

    Hi there,

Really don't worry too much as its not uncommon to get shock loss in the donor region too. Give it literally a couple more months and you'll likely be back on tract once hair has had change to cycle back through.

I experienced I believe to date the worst case of FUE shock loss recorded on the Internet... Thats some achievement hey ! Search Spex donor FUE shock loss and you'll see it wasn't pretty.

    Grow well !

Cheers guys, I'll wait it out. It's all I seem to be doing anyway. For a person who likes having instant results, this hair transplant progress has been long and torturous haha!
