Increasing fin dosage

My doc jut prescibed me the 5mg version and told me to cut in fourths for 1.25 mg. for the past year he's had me do .5mg so ill be more than doubling my dosage...any recommendations in terms of tapering up or should I just go for it. I've noticed no sides of .5mg

dont remember specific numbers but it should be fine in just upping the dosage.

I believe(someone correct me if wrong) .5 blocks about 55% dht and 1.25 hits about 60-63%, something around there, not much of a difference.

Have you had a good experience @ .5mg? I've been dosing at .5, but recently switched to 1mg. I havent even finished my first bottle yet..

I'd say its been pretty good. I'm at 1 year of .5mg fin right now and 6 months rogaine. Experiencing increased shedding along hairline and its looking a bit thinner, but before this shed my hair was maintaining pretty good with .5mg. I've read about people having increased shedding at 1 year propecia and having shedding around months 6-8 with rogaine. Think in going through one or both along with spring time shed, but I'm confident it will come back stronger

You will probably be fine if you handled .5 with no problems

I went from 0 to 1.25 when I started, eventually I jumped from 1.25 to 2.5. When starting dut I dropped from 2.5 back to 1.25.
In other words I never tapered, & was always fine. However if you really want to play it safe there is nothing wrong with tapering.

Yea I took my last few pills in my bottle without cutting them (1mg). Not much of a taper but from what the responses say, I'm just gonna start popping the 1.25mg

Well ****. I cut my hair and it with the shorter hair I can see I'm no longer thinning to just a NW2.5-3. My entire forelock is thinning to what looks like a 4 or 5.

I don't get it man, I really hope it's just a really bad shed, I've been noticing increased shedding for a little over a month. I'm a nw1.5 in shape still but thinning to a 4-5. Just as recent as 6 or 7 months ago I was a happy as can be NW1.5 with slight temple thinning. I've come so far since then. It's gotta be a rogaine shed as I've only been on it 6 months or else I'm just an aggressive balder, but I find it hard to believe it could progress that fast?
