    Thumbs down Cure for baldness......when?

Do we really have to wait until the 2020s/ 2030s for all out cure for hair loss/ baldness that can restore everybody to a NW1 or even NW2? What the hell is taking so long considering it's something as basic as growing a few hairs, when we can build stuff like the hadrian collider, supercomputers approaching the capacity of the human brain etc. etc. It really is depressing that all we can still achieve in 2014, is the big 3 and HT's with the "illusion of density"

Yes we do. And in the scale of things keep in mind how lucky we are to even have that prospect. You can live without hair.

These rants and disgust towards the biotechs and researchers should be sent to biotechs and researchers themselves... not the forum. Saying this stuff basically falls on deaf ears.

Great progress will be made once clinical trails are started (should be this year) relating to PGD2 discovery in 2012. If it is not cured by the end of the trials it will be known exactly what has to be done afterwards to finally solve the puzzle.

Isn't it weird/sad that a few strands of hair can mean so much? I'm sure that most of us here would agree that if we had a full head of hair our lives would be dramatically different than it is presently.

It'll be 10+ years unfortunately...Not even cured on paper so we can't expect anything within the decade.

Better treatments soon? For sure. But full on cure? Naw b.

    Cure for baldness? that's easy--

it's always in about 20 years.

And a revolutionary, breakthrough treatment is usually only "5 to 7 years away".

    And now you know.

    Cure for baldness...when?

Don't hold your breath! I remember 15 years ago when I first started losing my hair in my 20's, I took comfort in the fact that a cure had to be around the corner. Well I am still waiting and running top speed toward NW6.
