Hair whorl or hair loss

Hey fellas.

So I usually pay attention to the front of my hair more than the back, but here lately I’ve noticed what looks to me like a lot of scalp showing at my crown. I have pretty thick hair as you’ll see and even where I see scalp I can see that each follicle still has multiple, thick hairs....normal or not?
