Anyone with science/medical knowledge question.
I've been doing a lot of research lately into causes of hair loss, and one thing that has always bugged me is antidepressants. Now I've been on them for over 15 years straight and continue to thin even though I'm on avodart, propecia did nothing.
Now, research shows antidepressants can sometimes cause hair loss but know one knows really why.
As antidepressants and avodart is all I really take apart from vitamins, i looked extensively but I am not scientifically minded so I was wondering if someone can answer this question for me please.
I've read antidepressants have been shown in studies to inhibit nitric oxide and prostaglandin E2 which are apparently essential for hair growth. The studies can be found easily on Google by typing in "fluoxetine prostaglandin"
Is anyone able to shine a bit of light into this for me, thanks in advance
