Asian Male Crown Thinning?
Hi friends. I’ve been frequently lurking these threads and decided to post one for myself. 24 Asian Male with mpb in my Dad’s side. None on that side are yet bald but major thinning and recession. Not too sure about my mom’s side because I never met them. Started to notice that my crown is thinning. Not too sure if I’ve always had this or if it’s a common asian trait. My hair has always been pretty dense everywhere else. Curious if its recommended to taking any supplements to possibly regrow thickness back in the crown area?

Hi, It looks like that is possibly just your natural hair whirl rather than early thinning.
The best thing for you to do is to monitor it over the coming months and if possible compare it to past photos you may have where the top of your head is visible.
If it gets any bigger then you have the option of slowing down the balding significantly through the use of medications (Finasteride/Minoxidil), you will need to see your GP and you will need to fully understand the potential risks albeit rare.
Furthermore, in the majority of cases the balding pattern of your paternal (mothers side) relatives is a good indicator of where you will end up.
Try not to worry too much, it may well be nothing and if not, you have options.
