19M How is my crown? I’ve always had naturally thin hair. Bad lighting?

I’ve recently started noticing there’s a spot on the top of my head. My dad isn’t bald but my maternal grandpa is.

Also I’d like to point out I’ve always had naturally thinner hair and I haven’t really noticed any significant hair loss. Is the lighting just bad or is my crown thinning?

Hey I believe the hair in your crown is slightly thin. But like you said you look like you have thinner hair and this area might just be where your hair parts and forms a "cowlick", and of course under harsh light it exposes it, so be wary when you assess yourself under light and avoid getting down on yourself. Overall your hair looks to be in great shape, I would get on some preventative treatment and you may even be able to thicken it up.

I have a similar situation, my mom says that I have had a swirl in the back of my head and under some lighting it appears like a thinner spot. Heres a photo for comparison. I hope this helps.
