Default I’m 19, I’m definitely losing my hair right?

Sup guys. I’m 19, turning twenty in September.

So I’ve noticed a lot of thinning of my hair in general. In the shower at least 20+ thin and small hairs cover my hands after I shampoo. I’ve developed a prominent widows peak, even though I’ve always had one but not nearly exaggerated, and I’ve noticed bare spots on my scalp.

I’m very sure this is early balding, and want to cut my hair very short within the next month, but I want to make the decision in confidence.

I don’t don’t really wanna go on meds or treatments, and want to transition to shorter and shorter hair cuts overtime to ease myself into a bald/very short hair lifestyle. I want to accept my body for what it it is.

Anyways, do you guys think I’m balding too? My parents think I’m nuts, but I think I just caught it early.

hows it going man, i think your parents are right. Your hair is pretty solid still, it looks really thick. I personally do not see any signs of balding and your hairline seems to be a mature hairline which is pretty even on both sides. Is your dad bald if you dont mind me asking?

Thanks for the reply man. Anyways, my dad is not bald and has a similar widows peak hairline to me.

yeah for sure. it can get pretty stressful when you start to see changes in your hair as a young guy. My pops has been gradually balding ever since i was about 7 years old and i never thought id be like that i started balding when i was about 21 years old (24 now)and it sucks, but in your case you should be good especially if your dad has the same hairline characteristics you have.

Hey, I took some new photos, and I think I discovered something kinda bad. I think my hairline is actually a bit uneven. As you can see the temples have receded further. Not looking good.....

Its a little difficult on my end to actually say for sure that you are receding without knowing how your hairline was say at 16 years old compared to now. When you shower do you lose a lot of hair? 50-100 hairs is normal.

Hey, I checked out some baby pictures today and my hairline even around 1 years old was a very high widows peak, almost identical to what it is now. Pretty sure I was never conscious of my massive my widows peak and overreacted thinking I was going bald.........

I think things will sail smooth for a bit.
