Surgery or Medication..?

Hi all. I'm sorry that my image is sideways but it wasn't in the original!

I'm 60 this year and first noticed thinning in my late 20's, so this has been a slow, grinding 30 year journey ;-)

I've dabbled with meds, dht shampoos, minoxodil for a couple of months, but never really stuck to any regime. I have a slightly greasy scalp (leaves pillowcases noticeably marked), and went to a buzz cut a few years ago. Despite the image, under a bright light from above or from a distance I look bald.

I'm just revisiting this whole subject now and am curious whether to (properly) go down the medication route, or go all in for a transplant.

At my age i could say F&^* it, but wanted to ask here anyway for views.
