Default Question regarding very high free testosterone levels and hair follicle sensitivity

    This is my bloodwork:

    Total testosterone 14.34 ng/mL (2.49 - 8.36 normal ranges)
    Free testosterone 292.80 pg/mL (57.1 - 178.5 normal ranges)
    Free androgenic index 110.31 (20.4 - 81.2 normal ranges)

Here goes the question, I know DHT levels alone are not all that relevant, but rather it's the hair follicle sensitivity to it what determines whether your hair gets killed or not. Does it make sense that, since I've got so much free testosterone and subsequently much more DHT (I wasn't tested for this, the test was for something else), that it is the hair sensitivity to DHT what doesn't matter all that much?

As in, you might have low free testosterone and DHT, but if your sensitivity to it is high, then AGA kicks in. Or you might have lots of DHT but be resistant to it. Or could it be that I have a somewhat decent resistance to it, or at least close to mid-range, but since there's so much of it my follicles just give in?

I'm 24 and my testosterone levels are above what's considered normal even during your teens (when it spikes the most). My hair loss started pretty much as soon as completed my puberty. Could it be that my testosterone levels and DHT have ever since I finished puberty gone through the roof and my hair has suffered from it regardless of my sensitivity? Gonna speak with my derm and endo but wanted to see if it makes sense to you guys.

Oh, worth noting, I do take finasteride, but it's topical, and it shouldn't have any reflection on these hormone levels. I don't have high testosterone because of it not converting to DHT.
