    Default 850 grafts nw2

    Hi guys,

I got a hair transplant one week ago. I’m on finasteride and my hairloss was stable for the last 10 years. I’m a little worried about my density.... I think 850 grafts in theses zones is not enough. What do you think about it?

    Thanks!
"Enough" is relevant to what you feel is enough so it is difficult to say. A lot of people may be really happy with 850 but I think the more accurate way to describe that this is 850 in two areas. One area looks like it has more work than the other. You didn't get 425 in each side. Overall it looks fine and to worry about if it is enough or not is a waste of energy as nothing can be done at this point and you can't judge your opinion until there is something to have an opinion about. Give it the time it deserves to fill in and then decided for yourself. FYI, it is rare that only one pass is successful in achieving density if the expectations were for high density. Even the "best" clinics shouldn't promise as such and a second pass should be expected for even moderate touchups to add density.

Looks like the scabs just came out if I am not mistaken. You should know, ight during this period, the immediate appearance will look very barren. I am looking at your other post from immediately after surgery and things look a little more filled out with the blood and scalp still in there. Nothing to worry about at this point. Be prepared as it is going to look even worse over the next 3 months or so. But I do feel that you do have adequate density to achieve the illusion.

The most important thing of all is naturalness. And from the early going, you had a surgeon that took care to place the grafts in random natural order, like mother nature herself would have done. The hairline itself is composed with micro irregularities and is not just a dotted line. The reason I mention this is that random natural placement tends to cover up barren scalp quite well. Density, while desired, can be addressed in the case of lack thereof.

Keep us posted on your results.

You got some good residual growth from the grafts. Really good. Means those grafts took hold and bodes well for good yield. However, I would still expect them to fall out and you will enter the ugly duckling stage. So don't fret if they do fall out in the next 4-6 weeks. Then you'll start to climb out of the ugly duckling stage. If lightning struck you, as in you are lucky, you might be one of the rare people that don't have to endure the ugly duckling stage and your grafts never fall out completely and just continue to grow.

Looks good so far. Keep us posted!

Looks like you are on track and looks like good work was done. For me, months 4-7 was when I saw an explosion in graft sprouts. Months 8-thru-now-month-11, hair just got longer for me. I suppose there was some thickening of the follicles throughout the process but that is hard to detect with just the eye test. Density should start to fill out now as it seems you are slightly ahead of the curve.

    Keep posting those updates!

    Hi guys,

I'm back with more pictures, what do you think about hair transplant? (Picture with wet hair and flash)

It's not the final result, but I can see some progress
