Dear Jacobs,
It's hard to say where you're at on the Norwood Scale or how many grafts you may need without any pictures of your hairloss, or a family history. The NW Scale is used as a general classification system used to etimate the location of your hairloss.
25 is a relatively young age to have a Hair Transplant because at that age hairloss is usually still progressing. However, I highly recommend that you begin Propecia and Rogaine foam. In the majority of cases, this combo can significantly slow hairloss and, in some cases, hair is actually thickened. I am not a doctor, but it is a general recommendation in our practice that patients of your age try medical solutions for at least a year before considering a Hair Transplant. At that time, (conveniently around the time you finish med school ) you will have a better idea of how your hair loss is progressing, where you fall on the NW scale, and how many grafts you need.
Hope this helps.

do you think we are psychic? How is anyone meant to know how much work you need if we dont know what your hair looks like
u must think we can guess from an age. No we cannot. You may be NW2 or a diffused NW6, both are on opposite ends of the balding scale

I'm not sure why it's doing this, but I can see the pictures whenever I log on. I've got the [img][/img] tags on as well...

The reason why the photos were not showing was because you had set the album you created to "private." I have set it to "public" so that the photos can be displayed here as you intended.

I don't really know how to judge hair loss through the Norwood Scale but from these pictures, I would say you're anywhere from a 3-4.

It's tough to say how many grafts you'd need without knowing what sort of density you hope for and where you would want your hairline placed.
If you start Propecia and respond well, by the time you've finished med school and are ready for your transplant your hair might have greatly improved. Without treatments you could end up a NW5 at least, as you have diffuse loss through the midscalp and crown.
