Experience with long hair in a system

    Hi,

I am going for my first hair system, and it's going to be long... approximately 50cm (20").

Does anyone have experience with day to day life with a long-hair hair system? Washing, drying, grooming?

Would love to hear your experiences.

out of curiosity, what's your strategy with such a long system?

I don’t understand your question? My strategy is to put hair on a bald head. I am looking for a longer style.

I have had 12 inches in the pass. The main things I would note are:

I never started with such a long system. I started with a 6 inch one that was cut in to 4 - 5 inches. This gave me a chance to keep it manageable as I got use to it.

It was sometime after I tried a longer system. The longer the hair the more durable the base should be to take the weight. That often means either a thicker lace or a shorter lasting piece. Suppliers often dont tell you this.

Tangling was greater with the longer hair and you need to make more time for maintenance and drying.

After the on-site consultation, I wound up going for a shorter style, with a 16" forelock (viking style).
