19 and bald patch just behind my ears?

Hi everyone basically I’m 19 and have noticed that I have like a bald patch just slightly behind where my ears would line up to the top of my head. It’s not massively obvious in person although someone has pointed it out, but under light it’s really noticeable. As far as I can tell the front seems pretty normal.
I have quite thick hair, and it doesn’t really feel thinner around this spot, although I’ve also noticed I seem to be losing a lot more hair lately than usual, but I’ve been under quite a lot of stress as well.

So basically I was wondering if anyone could give me some advise? Should I go to my doctor even though I’m not 100% sure it is balding (I’m in the uk) or what? I have just under shoulder length hair and I wash it basically every day.

If you are concerned about it and it bugs you, yes go see a doctor about it. It would be best to choose a doctor who specializes in treating hair loss.
