    Why are doctors such retards?!

I've just been to see my gp for a prescription for propecia.

I was given the response of 'pro-what?'

So I told him its the brand name fin blah blah blah and how it lowers DHT blah blah blah.

The guy had never heard of DHT. He refused to prescribe me it on the grounds of he needs to look into the drug more.

'Hairloss is a natural thing my friend.' He said.

Seriously, f#ck this hairloss bullshit when THATS the best the NHS can offer me.

    Useless prick.

Thanks bud. I'll look into that. Can't believe how little some doctors know, I mean fair enough, he'd never prescribed propecia before and he might not of come across it, but to have to ask what DHT is when you have a degree in medical science is just shocking.

The knowledge of doctors regarding hairloss is abysmal in my experience, at least here in the UK. They don't care about it.

If only the doctor knows what that could do to ones pscychology, and i wonder how a medical practitioner would act that way

It's disgusting. He asked me to lift my fringe to show my hairline and straight away dismissed my hairloss. I explained I was diffuse thinning and still in the very early stages, but he didn't care.

There really are some hacks in the world.

doctors like that likely graduated from medical school before Propecia was even around which is why they are ignorant to it. same with Lyme disease here in the states. doctors are virtually clueless!

Tell me about it. I went to the doctor in my mid 20's to ask what I could do about my hair loss. He went on to explain to me how natural it was to lose hair and that it happens to many guys including him(as he points to his head). Mind you this dude was in his 50's and I was in my 20's. I lost a lot of hair because of that asshole.
