I hear you and sadly for me even 5 years will be too late for me.
Hair loss really is crippling not only physically but mentally, one can easily lose their entire youth to it. I have been on these forums for longer than I wanted or expected to and a lot of my time prior was spent lurking.

But we'll have to just wait and see what happens in the next few years.
The only hope for me is if a complete dark horse has been working on a decent treatment which comes physically available to us unexpectedly... Yes at this stage in my life I have resigned to just having a viable treatment.

I feel you bro, you should've seen my life before the aggresive hair loss began, and if I compare it to now - 180 degrees. It ruined my life. Im not myself anymore, I lost myself. I just want it to end and get back to my previous life, without thinking about this shit all day long. Actually the forums keep me optimistic, although it might all be an illusion. Nobody knows when it will end, so my best advice for you is to build yourself a plan and work until you reach it. Fight with all your means. I really hope that at least MAINTAINANCE will be here soon.

If it's gonna be expensive then for a lot of people it doesn't matter if it comes out tomorrow. Starting to save up for it right now would be wise.

@chongmet - reading your thoughts was like reading my own ones. I really want to believe that this nightmare will be finished soon.
I've already begun to save my money for Replicel, if it failes, I will just spend it on big HT.
@Desmond - if Shiseido begins trial this year, 2018 is very possible. As far as I know, they will be able to commercialise it during phase II (after confirmation of safety).

If you go into that link that Renee posted you will see they compare the benefits of their technology to a hair transplant. They've also already stated they have found the cure and by the looks it seems they are way more comfortable in affirming this than Replicel.

So I think Renee is right, they might be doing their own stuff and I don't think it will work only for maintenance.
I really hope they have the full cure and I won't mind if it takes more than 3 or 4 years to get it done. We just want our hair back

It got delayed of course, for no reason. It's always delays, delays, delays, delays..... delays.

They mentioned in a presentation that shiseidos trial will start Q3 2015. Of course contingent upon delays. Hopefully they will actually be right this time and not completely full of it like when they claimed that shiseido would start late spring...

@hell you should provide seti update here since youre banned from ***. Im planning to buy seti and would feel much more at ease with an update from you.

I don't think hell result is going to be good because he is not taking it oraly as the company recommend. Again that is only my opinion.

lol, there's the answer to the original question of this thread. There's no reason not to expect delays given the long history of them.

Depends on how good the treatment will perform in the clinical trial obviously. Shisheido with the likes of people like Ohyama (he works with them right?) gives me a bit more confidence. However let's not forget their phase 1 (replicel). It was bad, very bad.

I don't understand how they can deviate that much of phase 1 in terms of a protocol though. Not too much probably because phase 0 and 1 are primarily intended to establish safety. Doing something way different in phase 2 would totally neglect the primary intention of the previous phase.

I do like their lengthy phase 2 trial. This can actually establish if a compound/treatment is able to maintain hair. A one year clinical trial or less won't give you that answer. Even if they pull of maintenance that would be huge imo. Only time will tell I guess.

                              2018? Probably not. 2020? Maybe.

However, I noticed that RepliCel's share price has fell consistently since Jan 2014. Insiders may know something we don't. And in addition "The company would also like to report that effective September 1, 2015, Gemma Fetterley, VP Finance, is no longer with the company." Would you leave a company that was on the verge of curing MPB? Still, I don't know the circumstances under which she has left.

I still think Replicel is the best chance we have for a new effective treatment within the next 5 years. Definitely keeping my fingers crossed that it all works out.

nah its hard to tell with stocks because stocks could easily be getting shorted right now. I also agree replicel is the best treatment, if it could halt baldness forever it'd be a cure for many people including me. sorry to all the high norwood's, a full cure is realistically 20 years from now if even.
