    Missed Fin for 3 days

Hey people, I have been taking finasteride for more than six months and my hairs are doing great. Hair loss is totally stopped. My concern is I didn't take Finasteride for previous 3 days due to non availaibility of medicine. But today I got new package of medicine and took 2 tablets instead of 1 tablets of 1mg to compensate. I have been taking it regularly and missed only once or twice in whole period except for previous 3 days. will It drasatically effect my hair ? ?? Does DHT levels rises within one or two days. I am really becoming paranoid.

Whoa man you shouldn't be compensating for missed days like that with prescription drugs. From what I've heard around forums you could stop taking fin for months before it starts affecting you.

I'm in agreement with WashedOut - you really shouldn't over compensate with prescription drugs.
You might also find this link interesting reading, it's one that I've posted before but could save you some money. Please read it to the end and you'll see missing three days is no problem at all

*I should probably add that I don't use Propecia and haven't personally tested the theory in the article. If you do decide to reduce the quantity/frequency of your dose you should make it a very slow transition.

Missing 3 days of finasteride shouldn't be a big deal. Just try not to miss future doses if you can help it.
I've taken "load-up doses" between 2-3 mg before and never had a problem, so you're most likely fine there. Just don't make a habit of it on your own; the literature that comes with my prescription actually recommends against compensating missed doses with double doses. So unless you've worked out a unique plan with the prescribing doctor, stick to what it says on the label as much as you can.

I remember when I was on Propecia, it clearly stated that if you miss a dose, continue with your normal dose and don't take two pills instead of one.

You miss three days again, just leave it be, continue with your once a day dose.
