    official stance on itching?

I know there are many reasons you can have scalp itch totally unrelated to MPB but is there any link beyond the many anecdotal accounts and forum posts/theories- in other words any scientific research or medical opinions on this?

What about those of you who lost it fast? Did you have itching, inflammation, burning or the like?

My personal guess is that a guy gradually thinning over 30 years probably isn't going to experience the so-called 'itch' but those who are rapidly losing ground are more likely. I personally have horrible itching and sometimes burning over the past 2-3 months since switching form fin to dut. I have no noticeable flaking but the itching seems to coincide with shedding and almost always in the MPB region of the scalp.

There really are no rules honestly. I am over 30 with gradual hair loss and have that itch. I itch only where I am losing hair, but everyone is different some guys dont even get it but are aggressively balding. Like butts everyone has an opinion and the broscience guessing, but really no one has any clue
