    Balding too advanced for Finasteride?

    Hi guys,

I'm thinking to start taking Finasteride, but fear it might be too late to help.
Do you think it will be able help regrow the hair on my crown? Or am I already too bald for Finasteride to really help?

If it would just stop my hair loss then I wouldn't care, and just shave it all off. What I'm looking for is regrowth.

I'm 31y old, started balding slowly about 6 years ago and used Minoxidil for about 4 years. This past year I suddenly lost -a lot- more hair on my crown, my hairline also receded quite a bit. I felt Minoxidil really didn't help any longer which is why I just stopped using it.

Thanks a lot for your opinions & insights!

    Best.

    Hi!

It's not too late because it could help you to keep what you have or even get some small improvement.
If you do nothing you will most likely lose hair at your hairline too.

Finasteride's like minoxidil in that some men actually regrow hair they've lost from using it.

There's no downside to taking it if you don't want to lose more hair because it'll do that at a minimum.
