As one of the pioneers and one of the most experienced manual FUE surgeons in the United States, the fact that Miami hair transplant surgeon Dr. Paul Rose is such a strong advocate of the ARTAS robotic system speaks volumes. With that said, as the consummate patient advocate that he is he has no problem pointing out some of the robot’s current short comings, but indicates that he believes they will be overcome as the technology continues to evolve.

Look at his one http://www.hairtx.com/hair-transplan...it-extraction/ which looks like it is just filled with glossy marketing BS provided by the company and if you compare this doctor’s before and after pictures to any reputable surgeon they are a joke. So I also agree that the robot is probably only as good as the people who operate it. No reputable surgeon displays dark grainy pictures. Maybe they are not even pictures of artas hair transplants?
Look at these examples. This is what gives me confidence in the technology, but like you said, it might just be that these doctors know what they are doing so the robot works well when they use it. These guys look great, 100% natural and the donors look excellent!
Bernstein Medical - Center for Hair Restoration Patient HLE (http://www.bernsteinmedical.com/hair-transplant-photos/hairlines/patient-hle/?utm_source=baldtruthtalk.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=BT-Before-After) is a Norwood Class 5, with straight, medium-fine, brown hair and a donor density of 2.1 hairs/mm2.

Very honest interview! Hearing information like this actually gives me even more confidence in this technology. One problem that I keep running into when I’m doing my research is when I read about the artas on some other no name doctor’s websites, it just seems like all marketing and makes me think twice.

I don’t know which ones are with the Artas but all of them are bad.
This is bad advertising for ARTAS, but I’m sure they will eventually be working with more reputable doctors now that Spencer, Dr. Bauman, Dr. Rose and some other IAHRS doctors are saying the ARTAS is one of the better ways to do FUE.
Dr. Rose comes across as a very honest and caring doctor like Dr. Bernstein. If they both use it, then they must believe it’s better to other types of FUE. Their reputations are too good to risk them.Comment

Delphi, you inspired me to look up an Artas hair transplant surgeon in my local area and I found these before and after pictures. http://roystoller.com/before-and-after/
