New in the US. Where to get Propecia? Please help

    Hi,

I am new to the US and it is great!! I have been taking Finasteride for a long time. I brought my supply with me but now I am running out of it. I do not know if I should visit a dermatologist or a general practitioner can prescribe Finasteride too? Also, which is the cheapest pharmacy and should I get Propecia or Proscar or generic Finasteride and how much it costs?

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thank you guys.
    Happy new year!

Any MD should be able to prescribe this for you. It may require an office visit so that you're a patient of theirs, but this should be relatively easy to do. I would call around to various dermatologists, hair transplant surgeons, general practitioners, etc. and see who would be willing to do this.

I buy mine at Target. My doctor prescribes me the generic 5mg tablets and I cut them into quarters to take 1.25 mg/daily. 30 pills cost around $7, and by cutting them into quarters, this one prescription lasts 4 months. I can't imagine getting it any cheaper than that.

I am a patient advocate for Dr. Parsa Mohebi in Los Angeles, CA. My opinions/comments are my own and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Dr. Mohebi and his staff.

I'm sure you could visit a CVS min clinic or another clinic. I think the last time I was there a visit was $65. These are good because you don't need an appointment.

I just filled my generic 5mg from reddy with 2% nizoral for $18
