Dutasteride, Fin, and RU did not work for me

After fin stopped my loss for seven months it triggered a nonstop shed that was accompanied by intense itching and inflammation. I saw a derm and she did a biopsy that showed scarring so she switched me to dutasteride and I began taking RU as a precaution. I also started triamcinalone spray for the inflammation.
Anyways, I have been on the dut, RU, and tiamcinalone for five months now (total of 14 months on fin and dut combined) to no effect, still heavy shedding like 200-300 hairs a day. I guess I am just destined to go bald, this sucks. Anyone have any idea why these interventions did not work?

Did you buy premixed RU or the powder? I don't think premixed works as well in my opinion.

Please let me know if this works, or if anything works for you secrethero, I'm running out of time. I'm hoping the shedding stops or slows down when I stop using dutasteride, are you still on it?

Why don't you see another derm. That inflammation could be due t omany things. Antifungals, antibacterials, steroids could be prescribed.

The inflammation only started after the shedding and only occurs in the region of loss, trust me, they are connected. I may see another derm although it may be futile, this hag claimed to be a hairloss "specialist" yet says to have never had a patient in her thirty year tenure to experience a never ending shed from anti androgens i.e. propecia and/or dutasteride.

Same here... nothing worked, not even dutastteride. What did you do?

Dutasteride slowed down my hairloss fairly well at .5mg /day but its hell on sexual function. Some guys only respond at 2.5 mg/day. I would recommend getting a DHT blood level done. Dutasteride usually almost zeros it out. If your DHT is near Zero and you are still shedding like crazy then something else is going on. Some hair follicles are genetically programmed little clock timers that switch on their sensitivity to DHT and it seems any DHT will kill them off not just high levels of it. Some guys hair loss may be linked to some weird as yet not understood mechanism as we still have a lot to learn about this. Somebody needs to figure out something though because the quiet desperation induced by hair loss is enough to about kill your soul...
