Marc Dauer, MD-FUE Eyebrow Transplant After Smallpox Scarring

    Greetings,

Here is a male patient of mine who had extensive scarring as a child from a smallpox infection. As part of the infection he lost almost all of his eyebrow hair and it has bothered him his entire life and a constant reminder of the infection every time he looked in the mirror.

I harvested the grafts using FUE with a 0.8mm tip and we placed just under 400 grafts per eyebrow. The results are shown after only 6 months so the patient should see some increased cosmetic density over the next 6 months.

This has been a life changing procedure for the patient and he shares his experience in his own words below.

    From the patient:

"I suffered second-degree burns when I contracted the small pox virus in 1975. I lost my right-eye and all my eyebrows. People asked me frequently about my skin and my lack of eyebrows. Those questions have now stopped. After 40 years of waiting for the right doctor, I met Dr. Dauer. Dr. Dauer and his team were empathic, understanding and efficient. The procedure was simple and I am very happy with the results. No complications, no excuses and all smiles - the way it should be. I look normal - for the first time. Thanks Dr. Dauer!"
