Avodart to Propecia? Has anyone done this?

Hi Everyone, long time stalker first time poster.

I have a question generally about stopping avodart and resuming propecia. Basically, has anyone done this? and if so what happened? did you have a period of massive hair loss? The only information i've been able to find on this thus far is someone on balding blog who posted that he had massive hairloss after moving from avodart to propecia due to avodart side effects.

my short story is I took propecia for about 14 months after noticing i was loosing hair at about age 25. After 14 months i thought propecia had definitely worked to slow hair loss but it was still slowly progressing (keep in mind my family history is NW7). I looked at avodart (logic said to me that something slightly stronger might just tip me over the edge and completely stop all loss). I tried this for about 4-5 months in total.

At first there was no real change but after around 3-4 months there was a pretty large scale fallout, something i had never experienced while taking propecia. I know shedding is something which can happen but on this scale it's like it's just doing nothing for me at all. This along with the cost, bigger fear of taking a medication which isn't licensed etc means i want to go back to propecia and accept the greatly slowed loss. If anyone can point me towards anywhere with information on this based on personal experience that would be great.
