I had an interesting chat with my barber yesterday. Who noticed that my thinning top and suggested I might want to go to Turkey to get a FUE transplant done. He mentioned one of his customers had a FUE transplant done in Turkey 3 months ago and is happy with the results. He said he will moniter that guys hair and let me know if it was indeed successful. The price he paid was £2k. I will ask him next time to get the full info and a progress report. I was wondering if anyone has had a FUE done in Turkey and if they are happy with the results.

It's not really about the country, it's about how good the doctor is.
Who was the doctor? If it was Dr Keser, he has a good word of mouth reputation but I'd still feel uncomfortable going outside of the EU.

Hi Chris,
The only reason I am considering Turkey is because I will actually get feedback from a person who has been there and also I think the cost is something that is very appealing. If the surgeons is reputable and has a good track record and the cost is something the average man can afford then it might worth taking a look. I know research is very important, from what I have heard so far, the FUE surgeons in Belgium are some of the best in Europe. I wonder if anyone has an idea of what their pricing structure is like. For example 2000 graft = £xxxx, 3000 grafts = £xxxx and so on.

Some of the names that come to mind in Turkey are Dr Keser and Dr Koray Erdogan.
Do your research, and don't have a transplant if it is solely based on cost.

You are right, I will base it on quality and craftmanship and not on price.
