Dr. Lindsey Patient sent pics in 5 months out from frontal repair McLean VA
This fellow had had an unsatisfactory result at a large hair company. I think that what went on was that too little hair was "sprinked" in an area that had just started to thin.

2 issues complicated his result and perception of success/failure with his case done at that time. First, because he has fairly long hairs...I believe, but can't prove, that his first case had lesser results as it was difficult for the doctor so make the slits and the techs to place the hairs..with his native hair in place. (I've posted lots of threads on the merits of shaving the recipient area...and state again that we do shave so as to avoid this trouble and to maximize placement efficacy)
Second, I suspect he did get some results and growth but the surrounding hairs were already on "their way out" and as they succumbed to MPB it gave the appearance that little new hair grew.

So at his repair case, we trimmed to about 1/4 inch the recipient area, then I made slits as close to the hairs he'd already paid for elsewhere and which were growing, then packed the rest of this "U" shaped area. By preserving his frontal tuft, which tends to remain in his family, he was able to look less operated upon fairly soon.

He sent this 5 month pic in last week and hopefully will stop by the office the next time he's in the area.

I must admit that his combing his hair back does look good now. Recall though that we did not do that frontal tuft...and the hairs he'd gotten elsewhere are growing again...but our new hair is only just starting to come in.

Viewers will note that we excised his old scar with the new strip. We also treated him with platelet rich fibrin matrix, which I've been offering to thin hair'd people for about 7 months now and its "seems" like about half of those guys are growing a little quicker... Also shown are 1 month recipient and scar checks and his 5 month emailed in pic.
