    Replicel ?
Okay im sorry if im new to this but i am ignorant to this replicel. I heard that it has the chance to be the first cure to treat baldness but im not sure how it works. Is it a surgery they have to perform ? And say if this actually does work, hopefully, anyone know much it would cost like an estimate ? Thanks and lets all pray that these scientists save us from this horror of baldness.

Fingers crossed that it does, but don't put too much faith or hope in it, otherwise You may easily end up dissapointed.

Its not really a surgery no.. if it works, they're going to inject cells in Your bald spots.. in order to make the hair grow in those places.

I'm not sure if this number is accurate so take it as a rumour only.. one guy at Replicel thread said that Replicel CEO mentioned 10,000$ price if the treatment does work.

I agree. But that amount will only make sense if the treatment is a real cure - all successful, one time, permanent and safe - everything that current quasi-treatments like propecia lack.

the 10 grand is just an estimate from the CEO saying in an interview it'll cost as much as the current standard treatment: transplants. So we assume its 10k, other people say 30k.

Personally i don't care about the price...i am not rich but I'll just be damned happy that a cure is out there and it's all about money. The price will have to go down eventually right?

The procedure it's not expensive either, they are simply extracting and cultivating your own cells. What is expensive it's their method, how they isolated the DSC cells and their patented instruments which look like I could replicate them in my LAB :D.

We will know a lot more details in april, they will come out and say a lot of things. Apparently a new interview is coming in the bald truth, because a lot of people can't wait for april and of course we will ask for the price.

At this point there is nothing more than pure speculation, after april we will know if this works or not.

    Hopefully it does.

I pretty much agree with what You say, if it works properly.. it surely sounds better and cheaper than giving a fortune for hair transplant.

What worries me to a degree also, the safety of the procedure.. injecting cells is a whole new technology.. and I believe I've seen risks might involve cancer.. So even if they hit the market, I'd wait out for a while to see the safety reports and even better - some independent studies ! We've all seen how supposedly 'safe & proven' propecia soon turned into a health hazard and a man-poison as one guy called it.

That's true bro, as for me, I wouldn't wait a second. There isn't side effects reported on these types of treatments. There is side effects with stem cells, one of them being cancer, but DSC cells are specific cells.

But you never know, there might be.

I just wouldn't wait. In fact I signed up for their trials.

My question about replicel is this, although it's premature:

IF replicel works, could someone with a hair transplant "fill in" any areas that became bald? Say for instance I had a hair transplant to restore my hairline and my balding progressed so that it started to look pluggy, could I theoretically fix that with cellular treatment such as this? It would give me more confidence to have a hair transplant now knowing that that in a few years replicel would be a commercially viable option.

I'd hold the line with a hair transplant and rely on replicel for the future :)
