Website Latency Issues?

I have an online store where you can buy health equipment, gadgets, and accessories. At first, there were a lot of members and visitors on my site, but just this month it seems that the numbers were cut into halves. My friend who is also a member told me that he was having latency problems and maybe other users had experience this as well. I would like to ask your help how to fix this ASAP. Any suggestions? TY
