    Just started my Rogaine use
Background: I noticed one day at the age of 25 that the hair on the top of my head considerably thinned out. At 27 I bought Rogaine 5%. But I was too scared to use it. I've since been using Nizoral AD 2% and noticed tiny improvements. Now I'm 29 and after carefully debating for days whether or not to use Rogaine 5% I've decided to use it. I just started to use it as today is day #1. I havent lost all the hair on my head. It just thinned out. It doesn't look bad and can not be noticed if I cut my hair short. I am hoping to regain all my hair and the lush thickness within 1 year. I'll keep you guys updated.

Rogaine alone will not solve your hairloss problems. Rogaine works best when used in addition to Finasteride.

I dont know why every topic about rogaine you find some guys try to put all the poster hopes down and discredit rogaine and try to push the poster to take fin.
I dont think this post was about whether to take fin or not.

Minox was approved by FDA as a drug that can regrow some hair and mainly MAINTAIN existing hair. So unleaa the FDA are bunch of liers, rogaine should at least work for some ppl and maintain their hair and i read some successful stories of ppl on forums who only use rogaine and nizoral.

    Good luck with your journey!!

Yes, start taking propecia/ proscar for better results. I personally think fin is a lot better to treat hair loss then rogaine because it is an easy application.

i'm NEVER going to take any pills for hair loss. There is already a class action law suit against propecia. They have dangerous effects your mental state of mind plus it effects your libido.

Not everyone experience these affects but that is all up to you. Good luck!

Rogaine( Minoxidil 5% is something you need to use for a year in addition to Finasteride and Nizoral to see significant results. Two weeks is not enough time to see anything as the drug has not dealt any impact so soon to the follicles on your scalp.

"There is already a class action law suit against propecia."

I'm not trying to encourage you to (or dissuade you from) taking Propecia, but the filing of a lawsuit is evidence of nothing more than an ambitious attorney who sees a dollar to be made. Specious lawsuits are filed constantly, and until the suit proceeds to discovery and reaches a decision on the merits, take it with a grain of salt.
