How come no one ever talks about these? No fear of running out of donor hair, immediate result, no fear of it coming off as far as I know. Is there something I am missing here?

Is it difficult to prevent infections? Do they have some kind of anti-bacterial shampoo or something to prevent infections? Would it be possible to get it done on a small, inconspicuous area to see how bad the infections become and then have them removed if infection becomes bad without leaving a scar or something?

Microwounds all over your scalp that never close. So yes, infection.

If it was a viable solution, we would all know about it. It isn't.

they give you scalp care product that you should use daily to prevent infection. and yes they do it on a small area area to see if you develop allergic reaction to it as 10% of people do. the new ones they use they say comes from surgery stitching materials. no metal plugs like before but i wish they were mainstream like say Propecia so we can know if they horrible or not and to see their durability on the long time as they maybe get frizzy and look bad on the head due to chemicals, swimming ...etc. also the outer shaft may break and you end up with an inner knot which is bad if you developed allergic reaction to it. man they would be great especially for girls with hair loss since regular transplant don't work on many not mention for men. the procedure is easy and fast also. currently it is also expensive. if they get widespread they might get cheaper. but they have a bad reputation among people because of the fda ban in the 1980's i guess. people back then had them with metal needles to be attached to their head now they use knots
