When our patient who lives in North Wales UK first noticed he was losing hair back in 2004, he consulted with his family doctor and was advised to treat his hair loss with minoxidil. He's one of those rare men who reacted with pain, inflammation and swelling. Our patient was later employed in South Korea. While living there, he saw a booming cosmetic surgery industry. He consulted with a strip surgeon there and went ahead with the surgery. A decent, natural looking result from strip or FUE requires adequate donor characteristics and an experienced doctor with highly developed artistic sensibilities. Our patient told me that he was not happy with his strip result to say the least. Dr. Cole agreed and the grafts placed by the hair restoration doctor had to come out.
Our patient has excellent donor characteristics and he is able to style his hair and not have scalp show through even in direct sunlight. Our patient is very happy with his result.
