old hair plugs what can i do

hi had a hair transplant in the 80s which was no good over the years have lost my hair apart from the back and sides my prob is that i wont to buzz my head but the back of my head where they took the hair from is the old plugs type how can i get rid of these plugs without paying out 1000s of pounds was thinking of get a tattoo to cover the them not a smp tattoo but a real one one that you dont have to touch up every few years anybody been in the same boat any info would great
