31 years old. Unsure where I stand
    Family History:

Dad: In his early 70s. Norwood 4-5
Grandad on Mum's side: From pictures I've seen, he still had hair in his 50-60s
Grandad on Dad's side: From pictures I've seen, he had pretty much perfect hair in his 40-50s
Brother: Mid 30s. Probably not relevant but his hairline goes straight across and he has very thick hair. I doubt he will ever have much to worry about.

    Me:

31 years old. I've always had a natural widow's peak, though it has recessed (matured?) from when I was younger. Seborrheic dermatitis pretty much all my adult life on face, scalp and trunk, which I can't help but think has affected my hair. Almost never see hair on my pillow in the morning. Minimal shedding in the shower, I can see a few strands on my hands when shampooing. If I run my fingers through my hair a couple of days after washing, a few hairs come out.

The photos show my hair combed straight down, slicked back and loosely parted to the side, which is how I usually wear it.

Photos show my hair just out of the shower with minimal towel drying right by the window in natural daylight where my hair looks the worse, especially the first couple of photos that gave me cause for concern, as well as away from the window. The same goes for where my hair has dried. The last few photos are in the evening under pretty bright lights with no flash. There's also one parted down the middle for good measure.

Also, perhaps due to seborrheic dermatitis and the oiliness involved in that, my hair looks the best the day I wash it and then continues to look noticeable thinner until I next wash it.

There is little thinning observable all over your scalp and vertex. Your sides look pretty thick, it could be MPB. You seem to be having horseshoe pattern thinning. Consult a dermatologist. He can check if there is any follicle thinning in the frontal scalp, which is a clear indicator of MPB.

Hi, yes you should definitely get a professional diagnosis, however, your hair is very similar to mine two years ago. It looks like you have diffuse thinning in a horse shoe shape. I've been on fin and min for two years now and have got most of my density on top back. If you have MPB you do have some options.

    All the best
