Perhaps they need some more funding to be able to get some more scientists on board and to do more trials and so forth to be a bit faster with whatever they are busy now. I am actually wondering why I never hear of really big pharma companies like Roche, Novartis or Pfizer researching on something worth calling "promising". I think these can get a new research project easily funded.

What does that matter, if it's genuine? If someone got that sort of result from propecia they would rightly be over the moon. And if it is an old picture, then great, maybe this time has been spent refining the treatment.

Yes, but the patient in the picture is female. Don't expect the same results for males.

Same opinion here. Great to have something that would be at least a bit better than Propecia and at the same time safer.

That is a pain if true, but even so, if this works for women who I don't think are able to even take finasteride... why has histogen been written off as 'dead'? They've still got a working product there.

Women already have the benefits of Finasteride due to lower levels of testosterone (resulting in lower levels of DHT relative to men). They also have higher levels of estrogen, which appears to have beneficial effects on hair maintenance and health.

In any case, if it works on women, I'm sure it would work on men too, just to a lesser extent. I think the main problem they have is funding.
