    Teen Hair Loss
Okay recently I started noticing my hairloss. I'm 18, my dad is 50 and bald (started losing hair at 30) both his dad and my mums dad have full heads of hair.
I have two questions that have been bothering me: is it normal to lose short hairs more than long ones, as in no longer than a cm or so?
Also is it normal for some hairs that fall out to be thick, and others to be thin?
Do either of these mean I have started hair loss?
    Thank you :)

with this little info it cant be concluded that you have started balding,my advice would be to visit a good dermatologist if you are convinced that you are losing little extra hairs. They can actually tell whats wrong with your hair, hair loss can be of other types. If he says you have MPB then its upon you whether you want to start a treatment or not, treatment usually consist of two drugs minoxidil and finasteride. Also try to focus on important things of life, try to ignore your hair loss. And have the attitude to never ever give up on your dreams and goals, always try your best to focus on your goals.Good luck!

I would also advice you to consult a specialist dermatologist for the curing of your hair loss , it is might be happen due the deficiency of human growth hormone...

Why do you say that? Are hair loss and HGH deficiency linked?
