    Minox 5% vs 15%?
Hey guys, sorry for the dumb newbie questions I have here, but hope someone can help me out.

    1) when u guys say the word "Minox" you're referring to Rogaine, correct? I was under the impression the main thing in Rogaine, was Minox?

    2) I've been using the regular 5% rogaine foam. I want to switch to 15%.
Is 15% safe to use? Or should I go to a dermatologist 1st and get tested?

    3) Does Rogaine have a 15% foam or liquid? Or must I buy a different brand? And if so, which brand should I buy? Do I need a prescription for it?

    Thanks!!

I've been using 15% for two months and I've been very pleased with the results. The only thing I don't like is that it comes in the liquid form. I really prefer using Rogaine Foam because it didn't leave your hair looking sticky and it smelled slightly better (not that the brand I use stinks or anything).

If you wake up early enough and let it dry in your hair and then shower, it's not as big of a deal.

Thanks for the response FAA! I have a couple of questions, if you don't mind.

    1) What brand of 15% do you use? Does Rogaine itself make it? Or is it a different brand?

    2) Did you go see a doctor to make sure its ok for you to use 15%, or is that not necessary?

    Thanks!

No prob! I used Perfect Image. I buy it from Amazon. Haven't used other brands so I have nothing to compare it too. My scalp hasn't been itchy, but your hair will be sticky if you don't wash it out. Overall, I'm pleased with the results.

I didn't consult a doctor. I probably should have but I was impatient and wanted quick results!.

What gains have you had? I've been using Minox foam for over three months and bar a hairline shed I'm seeing next to no improvement..

See the thread I created in this forum, although I used Propecia and Nioxin in addition to the the 15%
