    Balding Cure
If everyone donated money to find a cure, wouldn't there be more progress by now?

    Proper
No because scientists are lazy working as snails, moving inch by inch per day. Plus, there are only select few who try to no avail. Plus, everything is done through trial and error with the variable of time... A LOT of time. Most scientists only base their stuff off of another theory and then get stuck.

Imagine yourself a scientist. After you've learned what their is to learn, just for the sake of passing university, and you actually tried pursuing some form of research... what groundbreaking discovery will you make that hasn't been already mentioned out there in the world. It sure as hell won't come as easily as when Newton discovered gravity only to have it later further implemented by Einstein which was still pretty much the same thing.

    I would hope so
but I don't think it would change anything. Somebody would just steal the money.
In a moment of very depressing but yet very realistic thinking, sometimes you come to realize that baldness is too scam prone. For years, guys got scammed over this, and if you think about the sums of money at stake, for years to come at least a part of the industry will try to keep on scamming.
Baldness is the perfect scam: you don't risk your life over it, and almost anybody can try to convince you that some snake oil works. So you are afraid as hell, and you fall for it. You take the stuff and don't even risk to get poisoned, so you could at least sue them.
Ok..after this super rant, let's hope a cure is found tomorrow!

I agree with moore, that in that case, someone would just steal the money. The problem is also with this capitalist system, where pharmaceutical companies have too much power, and don't want a cure to be available, but instead want people to keep on taking their pills throughout their lives.

Having said that, I have seen some pretty good results with body hair transplants, especially beard to head transplants. Let us say a NW7 gets 5000 grafts from scalp and nape, and another 3000 from beard, that is 8000 grafts, which can cover quite a lot of area. Not perfect, but still there is something even for a NW7.
