    Hair growth, pimples
I am 4 months post op from a strip procedure. I have a few questions/concerns. 1. Is it normal to get a lot of large pimples in the recipient area? Will trying to pop them effect any growth? 2. I have some decent growth on the right side of my head but the left side is much thinner and in some spots bald. 3. The scar has been doing well except for one spot, this last week, it has been red and a little painful, hoping it's just a temporary pimple of some sort. Any help on these concerns would be greatly appreciated, as I don't have time to go see my doc for a couple of months.

    Thanks,
    Gino

    Hi ginoball.

    1. The pimples are normal. They're a sign of hairs beneath the surface on the brink of breaking free. You shouldn't mess with them by popping them as this could lead to infection. They might be annoying but once the hairs come through they'll go, so please be patient.

    2. For you it's still very early in the growth timeline. Sometimes one side can lag behind the other, but everything should even out in time.

    3. Sounds like it might be a pimple of some sort. There can still be some soreness in the donor area at this early stage. By the time you get to see your doctor there will have been big improvements in both the donor and recipient areas. You have just a little more waiting to do before these issues resolve and your result will continue getting better and better.

Being patient is part of the HT process. I know sometimes it isn't easy but good things come to those who wait. :)
