If you're seeing hairs on your hand and keyboard when you pass your hand through your dried hair for 2 years, then I think you might want to go see a dermatologist.

Because I don't see any hairs on my hand when I rub my head when it's dried. I only see hair when I shower, like 10-15.

hmm. but according to tracy c, you can lose up to 150 hairs a day, even if you're not losing your hair. so, if i'm noticing what, around 10 hairs on my hands from washing it, then 5-10 from applying wax, and then a couple on my keyboard - which might have happened if i scratched my head or something, then i'm only really noticing around 25 a day. if the 150 mark is right, then i'm not noticing another 125 hairs falling out from normal 'wear and tear'.

is that right? so i shouldn't be too concerned with the amount of hairs i see? the hairs on my keyboard and hand from wax... problem or not?

sorry for asking so many questions! just a little curious with it all.

Counting the number of hairs you shed is not the best way to determine if you have a problem or not. You would know if you were shedding more than 150 hairs per day - because it is very dramatic. The amount you are currently seeing is insignificant.

The best way to tell if you are having a problem or not is to take good quality photos of your scalp every six months and compare them as time goes by. These photos should be of your vertex and mid-anterior. Photos of your hair line are not the best photos to use in determining if you have MPB or not. The vertex and mid-anterior are the best true indicators of MPB.
